HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Gusty tradewinds have taken over and they're expected to linger through Monday before slowing down slightly.
Expect a windy and fairly wet weekend. A disturbance is due Saturday with scattered showers and some spotty downpours. Most showers will fall on windward and mauka neighborhoods but the stronger winds will frequently bring the showers to leeward spots.
Surf is small to moderate in size all around but expected to be bigger tomorrow along east shores and out in the country. Here's today's NWS surf forecast: 5-7 feet east, 5-7 feet north, 1-3 feet south and west.
Small Craft Advisory for all Hawaii waters until Sunday at 6pm.
