HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - This morning is the launch of Delta service from Minneapolis to Honolulu. The original plan was to run flights through April, but this week Delta said it will keep the service going through Labor Day. After that we'll see. Delta includes the former Northwest Airlines, which was based in Minneapolis, and Delta still has 70% of flights at Minneapolis-St. Paul International.
The Board of Land and Natural Resources meets today. It's expect to approve the transfer of Coco Palms hotel permits from previous owners to the current developers. It's important because part of the resort sits on Kauai land owned by the state. The Coco Palms is where Elvis filmed "Blue Hawaii."
Wet 'n' Wild confirms it's doing its usual Halloween thing this year – kids in costume get in free this Saturday, and at dusk they'll do the "Dive-In Movie," which will be "Captain America: Civil War."
Altres Medical has a second Aging in Place fair tomorrow, Saturday, 10 to 2, at Kahala Mall – free and open to the public.
On store shelves today – Kahala Sportswear and Outrigger debut aloha shirts honoring the Polynesian Voyaging Society. They're in Macy's and online at Kahala.com. A portion of proceeds to the society.
