HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - On Saturday, October 22nd, the Hawaii Tourism Authority's 'Aha Mele: Monthly Hawaiian Music Series continues at Washington Place. This free concert event will be held at Washington Place and will feature live entertainment from Halau Ka Liko Pua O Kalaniakea under the direction of Kumu Hula Kapua Dalire-Moe, Hall of Fame Serenaders, Palani Vaughan & The King's Own. There will also be a special appearance by the students of Turnaround Arts Hawai'i's Kamaile Academy Public Charter School.This edition of the 'Aha Mele: Monthly Hawaiian Music Series is themed a celebration of Washington Place and a musical tribute to Queen Lili'uokalani and her family. Guests will be asked to pre-register online through an Event Brite listing.
The 'Aha Mele Hawaiian Music Series launched in 2014 as a monthly showcase of Hawaiian music and culture presented by the Hawaii Tourism Authority. Previous concerts have been held at the Hawaii Convention Center, 'Iolani Palace, Waimea Valley, Royal Hawaiian Center and Queen's Marketplace in Waikoloa on Hawaii island.
