Utility truck crashes into convenience store in Sand Island

SAND ISLAND, OAHU (HAWAIINEWSNOW) -

A utility truck crashed into a convenience store on Sand Island Access Road early Monday.

The owners of Tony’s Liquor & Deli said it happened around 2:30 a.m. and the driver took off.

A metal gate, glass doors and windows were smashed.

Honolulu police said they are investigating and are considering opening a criminal property damage case.

No arrests have been made. The owners said they don’t believe anything was stolen.
