Weather will be locally breezy with a few clouds for windward and mauka areas with lots of leeward sunshine Sunday. Rainfall will be generally lighter than usual through Monday. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s with trade winds 10 to 20 miles per hour with higher gusts.
Weather will become a bit wetter late Monday into the middle of the week as some surface moisture moves in from the east and the north and gets picked up in the trade wind flow. Forecast models are also pointing to windy weather for the upcoming weekend.
Surf will be rising a bit for north and west shores but will remain below advisory levels. The choppy trade wind swell will continue for east shores. A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday for waters around Oahu, and until 6 a.m. Monday for waters around Maui County and the Big Island.
