Crews battle fire that caused $150K in damage to structure in Pahoa

PAHOA, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Big Island fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of a fire on Wednesday that caused approximately $150,000 in damage to a building in Pahoa.
Firefighters were dispatched around 4:10 a.m. to a structure at the intersection of Kahakai Boulevard and Opae Street, the Hawaii County Fire Department said. The structure was already fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived at 4:25 a.m.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 7:05 a.m.
No one was in the structure at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
