Just a few showers expected this morning, then partly to mostly sunny skies and a high of 88 in Honolulu. The winds will be breezy by afternoon, peaking at 15-25 mph.

Surf is building out in the country. A new swell will grow to advisory size by this evening along north and west shores. Energy from a storm in the Tasman Sea will energize south side surf. Here's the surf forecast for today: north 10-14 feet, west 6-9 feet, south and east 2-4 feet.

High Surf Advisory for north and west shores effective 6:00 p.m. this evening through 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

Small Craft Advisory for all Hawaii waters.
