The senior is approaching 2,000 career receiving yards, which only 14 other Rainbow Warriors have accomplished in program history. He currently ranks No. 15 all-time with 1,980 yards and needs 46 to surpass Craig Stutzmann, who sits at No. 14 with 2,025 yards.
The 2016 Biletnikoff Award winner will be presented live on December 8, 2016, on The Home Depot College Football Awards Show to be broadcast 7:00 - 9:00pm (EST) on ESPN. College Football Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard will present the 2016 Biletnikoff Award winner on the show.
No UH receiver has won the Biletnikoff Award, however, three were semifinalists – Ashley Lelie (2001), Chad Owens (2004), and Greg Salas (2010).
The award is named after Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the pro and college football Halls of Fame. He was an All-America receiver at Florida State and an all-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders.
