Local Connection: UHA

Rick:
Resilience is the ability to rebound after a setback or a failure, and I've lived long enough to know that life is full of disappointments.

But recently, I've had the chance to familiarize myself with the work of renowned expert Dr. David Hunnicutt, who's in town sharing the latest research on resilience and how it can help us all lead fuller, more balanced lives.

On Oct. 18, I'll learn more at the inaugural Hawaii Wellness Leaders Conference. It's spearheaded by the Hawaii Health at Work Alliance, a collaborative partnership of over 350 local organizations from across the state that are committed to workplace wellness.

As a recognized leader in wellness, and the alliance founder, U-H-A Health Insurance President and CEO Howard Lee, joins me to share his thoughts

Howard:
Thanks Rick.
As a physician founded health insurer, UHA understands the important role we play in helping Hawaii businesses create healthier work environments for employees.

Creating a culture that supports resilience is one way to help employees overcome barriers to better heath.  And that's what really matters.
