Winds are E/NE at 10-20 mph this morning and are expected to peak at 15-25 mph after lunch. Lingering showers from that dissipating front will clear the islands by mid-morning and skies will be mostly sunny across the state by afternoon.

A new NW swell is elevating surf out in the country with an even bigger episode expected Wednesday night and Thursday. Here's today's surf forecast: North 10-13 feet, west 5-9 feet, east and south 2-4 feet.
