KANEOHE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation will present the 2nd Annual H3T Race to the Base, taking place on a race course that extends from Ala Moana Beach Park over the H-1 and H-3 freeway, to Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii (KMCBH) on Saturday, October 15th, 2016.

The Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation is proud to continue the prestigious H3T Race to the Base.  Be a part of History!  H3T Race to the Base will help raise the funds that is needed to improve and maintain the monument that honors law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, while serving the people of Hawaii.  The Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation honors these dedicated public servants who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our community.

The triathlon will commence at Ala Moana Beach park with a 1000 meter swim starting at 6:30am.  Participants will then bike 27 miles to Kaneohe via the H-3 tunnel.  The last stage of the race will consist of a 10K run taking place on beautiful KMCBH.

This year with the support of Hawaii Bicycle League, a Bike Ride has been incorporated into the event.  The bike ride will start at 6:00am, and follow the same course from Ala Moana Beach Park (Magic Island), on H-3, and ending at Aikahi Elementary School.

The participant’s post-event ceremony will follow at Aikahi Elementary School and District Park.

All proceeds from the race will go directly to the Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation.
