HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Typical tradewind weather will hold sway for the next several days. Tradewinds will run brisk and breezy so the air quality and humidity levels will be very good.
Rainfall will favor windward areas, falling mainly in the overnight and early morning hours with light to moderate intensity.
Surf is elevated along south shores today and coming up tonight out in the country. North and west shores will likely be under a High Surf Advisory by Saturday morning. Waves are forecast to be 12-18 feet along north shores and 8-12 feet on west shores. Here's the NWS forecast for today: 3-4 feet south, 2-4 feet east, 1-3 feet north, 1-2 feet west.
Small Craft Advisory for Maalaea Bay, the Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels, and coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
