HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The city is looking for volunteers to assist the Department of Parks and Recreation in relocating rocks at Ala Moana Regional Park.

The effort is part of Mayor Kirk Caldwell's nine-point community action plan to restore the area.

Crews will be transporting rocks from the beach to designated areas. They will also need help pushing sand along the beach to make it safer.

The event will take place on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
