A man accused in a series of four bank robberies on Oahu is in police custody.

The Honolulu Police Department said 28-year-old Hanohano Campos-Whitford turned himself in at the Kapolei substation around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Police said Campos-Whitford, of Waianae, is linked to the robberies of Central Pacific Bank in Pearl City, Hawaii National Bank in Waimalu and American Savings Bank in Mililani. Police records indicate he may have robbed another bank in Aiea and that he allegedly used a note in all four robberies, saying he had a weapon. However, no weapons were seen.

Campos-Whitford faces four counts of second-degree robbery.

CrimeStoppers and HPD had issued a notice on Monday in search of the bank robbery suspect.
