A man in his 55-year-old was pulled from waters off Malaekahana beach in critical condition Saturday afternoon.
Emergency Medical Services officials say the man experienced fatigue in the water around 1 o’clock and was pulled to shore by a Good Samaritan where lifeguards performed CPR.
Paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital where he later died.
According to Ocean Safety waves in the Malaekahana area were choppy at the time of the incident with 10 to 15 mph winds.
