Forecast: More typical trade wind conditions moving in

Trade winds will gradually increase Sunday and Monday and remain on the breezy side for much of the coming week. More typical trade wind conditions will also move in, with showers favoring windward and mauka areas during the nighttime and morning hours. A mid-level trough may briefly enhance showers on Monday.

Surf is pretty quiet but there's a small north-northwest swell peaking Sunday, and then fading and turning more northerly Monday and Tuesday. Only some small south-southwest pulses are expected over the next couple of days, along with a choppy short-period trade swell for east shores. On Oahu, the monthly box jellyfish influx is expected to begin Sunday, peak Monday and then subside Tuesday.
