HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Coast Guard is searching for a missing sailor, believed to be somewhere between Hawaii and Canada.

Paul Lim was last seen on Aug. 1 leaving Hilo, Hawaii aboard the 35-foot sailboat, Watercolour. He was heading for Victoria, Canada and was expected to arrive by Sept. 10 or 11.

Lim, a resident of Salt Spring Island, British Colombia, hasn't been seen since. His family in Canada reported him missing.

The Coast Guard has asked all boaters along Lim's possible route to be on the lookout for him, and a C-130 from Air Station Barbers Point in Honolulu is searching from above.

Anyone with information on Lim's whereabouts is asked to call the U.S. Coast Guard at 510-437-3701.
