UH to participate in $150M research project focusing on children's health

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii will participate in a more than $150 million research project that will focus on children's health.

The National Institute of Health launched a seven year initiative on Wednesday called Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes.

It will investigate how exposure to different environmental factors affects children's health.

Medically under-served areas will be the focus of the initiative.
