HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -- Every year, the Salvation Army's Angel Tree drive receives hundreds of donated presents for people in need.

The problem this year: They need space.

The Salvation Army is looking for free warehouse space where Angel Tree gifts can be sorted and distributed this holiday season.

The ideal place would be about 6,000 square feet, near a bus stop, and in the downtown area (near the Kauluwela Corps Community Center on Vineyard Boulevard).

The nonprofit is hoping to secure a location by Oct. 20.

The donation will be considered a gift-in-kind for tax deduction purposes and the donor will receive recognition as a partner for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.
