Former 'Bow receiver Salas catches first NFL touchdown

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - In the four years he spent at the University of Hawaii, Greg Salas became the 'Bows all-time leading receiver, accounting for more yards than Ashley Lelie and more catches than Chad Owens.

In the five years since being drafted into the NFL, however, another number -- or, rather, an entire lack thereof -- has loomed large for tje journeyman wideout.

Salas, who has already made stops with the Rams, Lions, Patriots, Eagles and Jets, caught the first receiving touchdown of his NFL career on Thursday against his old team from New York, a 71-yard scoring strike from Tyrod Taylor in the third quarter of a 37-31 loss to the Jets.

Salas finished the game with 4 catches for a career-high 89 yards.
