HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Great news for anyone who's anxiously awaiting the Thanksgiving debut of Disney's next animated film, "Moana". A new trailer was released on Thursday for the surefire box office hit, and it doesn't disappoint.

The title character, voiced by Kamehameha Schools Kapalama student Aulii Cravalho, is seen in her element. And the demigod Maui, voiced by former Hawaii resident Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, shows his supernatural ability and comedic timing.

"As I’m here in Hawaii, a place where I grew up, I’m reminded why this story is so special," Johnson wrote on Facebook. "It celebrates the wonder of mother nature, our rich Polynesian culture of the South Pacific and most importantly, the bonds of ohana (family) that reach far beyond these islands. I know our superstar Aulii Cravalho feels its mana (spirit) too."

The movie hits theaters on Nov. 23.
