Forecast: Another day of unstable weather ahead

Buckle up for another day of wet and wild weather.

A surface low continues to pull up abundant tropical moisture. An unstable atmosphere aloft is enhancing that moisture resulting in widespread showers, heavy showers, and thunderstorms. Flooding is a real possibility and has been occurring overnight and early this morning.

Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 8:00 a.m. for Oahu. Areas seeing the heaviest rain include Honolulu, East Honolulu, Windward Oahu, and Central Oahu. A Flash Flood Warning means flooding is occurring or imminent. If you are in a low-lying, flood-prone area, take evasive actions immediately.

Flash Flood Watch continues until Friday afternoon for Oahu, Maui County, and the Big Island. Flooding could develop very quickly. A Flash Flood Watch means flooding is possible. Stay alert and stay safe.
