MAKENA, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) -
The Makena Beach and Golf Resort is holding a major liquidation sale in what’s being called the largest “garage sale” on Maui.
The 310-room hotel closed in July, and all of its contents will be for sale on Thursday starting at 10 a.m. and will last until next month or until everything is sold.
Some of the items include televisions, kitchen china and glassware, carpeting, a bathroom sink and more.
The public sale hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. A $5 admission fee will be charged for opening weekend, but will be free starting Monday, Sept. 19.
The hotel is being converted into a beachfront community and club.
