A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for parts of the state through Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The watch is in effect for the islands of Maui, Molokai, Lanai and the Big Island.
Forecasters said a very moist and unstable air mass combined with an upper-level trough may produce the potential for heavy rainfall and flooding.
The Flash Flood Warning that was in effect for Maui has expired.
