Looks like your umbrella may have a busy week ahead. Showery weather will be the norm for much of this week, thanks to a surface trough that will move over the state. A large area of clouds will spread over the islands starting Sunday night and will remain over the islands through Friday. It will also be quite humid.
Trade winds will be light and gentle for the first half of the week but should pick up speed after Wednesday. However, a disturbance aloft will combine with tropical moisture to keep the weather on the wet side through the week, with drier weather not really expected until as late as next Sunday.
At the beach, a moderate northwest swell is set to arrive Monday afternoon and peak just below advisory levels Tuesday. A moderate southwest swell is also expected late Monday and should remain through Wednesday.
