A wet morning, then some sunshine for your Aloha Friday.

Showers are particularly evident on Oahu. The rain is falling in east and windward Honolulu along with the North Shore. It should dry out as the morning progresses and sunshine will be plentiful, certainly along leeward beaches.

This morning's light winds will pick up by afternoon and peak at 15-20 mph with some stronger gusts. Lighter winds are forecast for the weekend. High today in Honolulu will be 89 degrees.

Surf is still elevated but dropping along south shores. A series of smaller south swells will continue over the weekend. A small to moderate NW swell is expected the first part of next week. Today's surf forecast: 3-5 feet south, 2-4 feet east and west, 1-3 feet north.

Small Craft Advisory for the Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels, and Maalaea Bay.
