A popular throwback restaurant on the Mainland is now serving up some good old-fashioned hamburgers in Hawaii.
The California-based Johnny Rockets opened its first Hawaii location at Pearl City Highlands shopping center this week. Its hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The restaurant – which serves up items such as hamburgers, french fries and milkshakes -- is known for its 1950s diner-style interior with jukebox stations, chrome accents and red vinyl seats.
Founded in 1986, Johnny Rockets operates more than 350 franchise and corporate locations in 28 countries around the world.
