The parking lot at Ala Wai Community Park, as well as the recreation center that had been blocked off for the IUCN World Conservation Congress, are once again open to the public this morning. Restrictions at the park had been in place since the start of the IUCN Congress on Thursday, September 1, 2016.
Meanwhile, restrictions for the IUCN Congress remain in place at Ala Moana Regional Park, including the closure of McCoy Pavilion and the "Keyhole" parking area, as well as the tennis courts and the Honolulu Lawn Bowls Green.
The IUCN Congress continues on O'ahu through Saturday, September 10, 2016.
