A 48-year-old man was critically injured Tuesday morning while making repairs at the Waikiki Skytower condominium.
Firefighters said the man was drilling when he apparently hit a power line at the building. The man's clothes caught on fire, and he suffered burns to about 45 percent of his upper body.
The incident happened about 11:20 a.m. at the building, located at 2410 Cleghorn St.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. A second patient apparently suffered smoke inhalation, but refused treatment.
