Beautiful trade wind weather on this back-to-work (and school) day!
A few showers will fall on windward and mauka neighborhoods this morning, but mostly sunny skies are expected over much of the state much of the day.
Winds will be E/NE 10-20 mph and hover near the top of that range for a few hours this afternoon.
High in Honolulu will be 88 degrees.
Surf is dropping along east shores and popping up in town. South shores will experience a series of swells this week and one coming later today could peak Wednesday/Thursday at advisory levels.
Waves of 8 feet trigger an advisory on south shores. Here's today's surf forecast: 3-6 feet south, 2-5 feet east, 2-4 feet west, 1-3 feet north.
Small Craft Advisory for the Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels, Maalaea Bay, and coastal waters south and west of Hawaii Island.
