Loud noises could be heard at Schofield Barracks due to military training

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Military officials want to alert the public about various training in September that may result in loud noises in the Schofield Barracks community.

Officials said the training, which starts Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, will take place during the day and at night.

The following training will be conducted:
September 1 -2: Army artillery training
September 1-5: Marines mortar training
September 6: Army mortar training
September 3-7: Marines artillery training
September 15-16: Army demolitions training
September 15-30: Army artillery, mortar, and helicopter gunnery training
September 5-30: Army Lightning Academy training with blank ammunition and explosive simulators on East Range.

Although loud noises may be heard, officials said there is no immediate danger.
