Construction crews for the Honolulu rail project are making progress after completing the final concrete pour Friday night for the cantilever over the H-1 Freeway in Pearl City.
Rail officials hope to provide further details at an upcoming public meeting on Tuesday to discuss this latest update as well as what’s ahead.
The meeting will be held at the Pearl Ridge Elementary School cafeteria at 6 p.m.
The rail system is almost half built and facing a $1 billion shortfall. Its full route is still unresolved, but the Federal Transit Administration last week told city leaders that it needs to go all the way to Ala Moana as initially planned.
