HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The OIA football games that had been scheduled for Saturday have been moved to later dates due to potential weather impacts on Oahu before of Hurricane Lester, league football coordinator Harold Tanaka said Friday.
Games at the division one level have mostly been moved to Monday, including the doubleheader that was scheduled for Aloha Stadium. Waipahu and Roosevelt will kick off at 4 p.m., with the Farrington/Leilehua game set to follow. The games will still be played at Aloha Stadium.
The J.V. game at Mililani between the Trojans and Kapolei Hurricanes will begin at 4 p.m., with the varsity contest to follow.
Kaimuki's pre-season game against Faith Lutheran (Nevada) will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday at Aloha Stadium.
The league's division two games (Kalani/McKinley, Waialua/Pearl City) have been moved to the week of October 14th.
