HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaiian Airlines and Island Air are waiving flight change fees as Hurricane Madeline nears.
Hawaiian Airlines passengers with tickets to or from the Big Island Wednesday or Thursday will be granted a free reservation change if the new itinerary includes a flight on or before Sept. 5.
Island Air is allowing customers ticketed for travel from Wednesday through Saturday to change their reservations without charge to flights before Sept. 10.
A Hurricane Warning was issued for the Big Island on Tuesday. Effects of the powerful hurricane are expected to begin impacting the island early Wednesday.
