High Surf Advisory, Warning canceled as Madeline passes state

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A High Surf Warning and High Surf Advisory have been dropped as Tropical Storm Madeline passes south of the state. 

The High Surf Warning was originally in effect for east-facing shores of Maui. Meanwhile, a High Surf Advisory was issued for east-facing shores of Kauai, Oahu and Molokai and west Maui.

Madeline generated large swells on Tuesday and Wednesday, with east-facing shores of Maui seeing wave heights up to 18 feet through Wednesday night.
