MAKAHA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 55-year-old man was seriously injured in a blaze at a Makaha home on Monday.
The fire happened about 1:32 p.m. at 84-725 Fricke St.
When firefighters responded, they found smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home. The blaze was under control by 2 p.m.
Three adults were in the home when the fire started. The man suffered serious burns to his arms and legs. Paramedics treated him, and he was taken to an area hospital.
The two other adults were uninjured. The American Red Cross of Hawaii is assisting the tenants of the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
