The University of Hawaii women's volleyball team fell in four sets to the Wisconsin Badgers to open the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Friday night.
After dropping the first two sets 16-25, 16-25, a series of substitutions that put freshmen, Natasha Burns, Kirsten Sibley and Norene Iosia on the floor together led to a spark for the Rainbow Wahine. Dave Shoji's squad went on to win the third set, 26-24.
The Badgers were able to battle through a close fourth set to win it 25-23.
In Nikki Taylor's absence, Sibley led the Rainbow Wahine with 13 kills, followed by Emily Maglio, who registered 12. Burns had a team high four blocks in the match.
