On Tuesday morning, the state Transportation Department announced that the Zipper lane would remain open until 9:30 a.m. to help ease congestion.
Problem is, the driver of the Zip Mobile didn't get the memo.
A state Transportation spokeswoman said DOT officials were unable to reach the driver, and he started closing the Zipper lane about 9:10 a.m.
The Zipper lane is supposed to close about 9 a.m.
The state said it's working to fix the problem for next time around.
