HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A bit of instability is lingering around the Big Island where thunderstorms are still firing up this afternoon.

The rest of the state is drying up, although very humid conditions continue with thick dark cloud build-ups.

Tonight the winds will be light so the muggy conditions will persist. Spotty rain is still likely for a handful of spots.

Brisk tradewinds are due back Thursday with more stable conditions. Humidity levels will be more comfortable with better air quality.

Surf is elevated slightly along east and south shores but well below advisory levels. BOX JELLYFISH are due into south shores tomorrow through Saturday, check with lifeguards before jumping in.
