Continued heavy rain has prompted a new Flood Advisory for the Big Island.
The National Weather Service posted the advisory until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Around 2:30 p.m., heavy showers were reported along the leeward slopes of the island from Hawaiian Ocean View Estates to Puuanahulu.
Rain is falling at a rate of about two inches per hour.
