HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Flood Advisory is in effect for the entire island of Oahu until 11:45 a.m as heavy showers move over the island from the south.
The National Weather Service in Honolulu said at 8:45 a.m., radar showed heavy showers moving over Oahu from the south. Rainfall rates were between 1 and 2 inches in the heaviest showers.
The advisory includes but is not limited to Honolulu, Maunawili, Kailua, Waikane, Mililani, Waialua, Hawaii Kai, Salt Lake, Kaneohe, Waiahole, Moanalua and Halawa.
The Flood Advisory may need to be extended if flooding conditions persist.
