HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Thunderstorms with heavy downpours are still swamping the Big Island and Upcountry Maui. The unstable conditions will linger tomorrow with more severe weather possible, especially for the east end of the state.
Winds will remain light from the southeast through Wednesday with elevated humidity levels and a buildup of vog and haze.
Tradewinds are due back Thursday with more stable conditions taking over, lasting through the early part of next week.
Surf is up a bit east and south today. Here's the surf forecast: 3-5 feet east, 2-4 feet south, 1-3 feet north and west.
