A man whose body was found floating off the Hamakua Coast mid-August has been identified, Big Island police said.
The man was identified on Aug. 18 as 28-year-old Adam Hartzog, who had no permanent address but frequented the Hilo area.
His body was found floating nearly a mile off shore of the Big Island at 1 p.m. on Aug. 16.
An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday to determine Hartzog’s exact cause of death.
