Parts of the Big Island are getting hit hard with rainfall at rates up to 2" per hour. The eastern coastal cities from Hilo to South Point have a Flood Advisory until 5:45 a.m. That could be extended or expanded. The entire Big Island is under a Flash Flood Watch through this evening.

All of the islands could see some heavy showers today. For most of us, including Oahu, there will be only a few morning showers. It's the afternoon when the skies could open up on us, particularly over interior neighborhoods. Be alert today and stay with you Severe Weather Station on-air, online, or on your mobile device.

All islands will experience very humid, warm weather today. Vog is also entering the mix as the southeast winds move it up the island chain. Honolulu will see a sticky high of 88 degrees.

Surf is up a bit east and south today. Here's the surf forecast: 3-5 feet east, 2-4 feet south, 1-3 feet north and west.

No marine advisories are posted.
