HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A power outage Monday morning spurred Honolulu Community College to cancel classes and Kapalama satellite city hall to briefly close.

About 670 customers were affected in the outage, which happened about 11:20 a.m.

The outage was blamed on a downed power line.

By 12:30 p.m., all customers had been restored.

The outage happened on the first day of the fall semester at HCC. Campus officials said classes would resume with the power back on.
