Boy Scouts of America
The Aloha Council, Boy Scouts of America presents Hawai`i's Distinguished Citizen Award to Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company's (HDCC) chairman of the board, Bill Wilson. The 34th annual event will be held on August 25, 2016 at the Sheraton Waikiki.
This honor is awarded annually to a resident of Hawai`i whose leadership in business, industry, government, education and other community endeavors has contributed to the growth and vitality of our state.
Wilson has been at the helm of HDCC for 25 years. Under his leadership, Hawaiian Dredging grew in size, sophistication and capabilities while also striving to create the safest and healthiest work environment for Hawai'i's largest construction workforce and completing noteworthy projects such as the Tetsuo Harano (H-3) Tunnels, the Admiral Clarey (Ford Island) Bridge, and the Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa.
