The National Weather Service has cancelled a Flood Advisory that was in effect for the Kona areas of the Big Island.
Radar showed that the heavy showers had moved offshore.
Earlier in the evening, showers with rainfall rates of one to two inches per hour fell in the area near the Kona International Airport down towards Captain Cook.
