HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A brush fire flared up again in Kunia Thursday due to hot spots from an earlier brush fire the day before.
The fire scorched about 20 acres west of Kunia Road in the forest area above the Kunia agriculture lots. High up on the hillside, it was difficult for the Honolulu Fire Department to get to, officials said. The Department of Land and Natural Resources forestry crews knocked down most of the fire.
There are no reports of injuries or structures burned.
Some hot spots remain and the site is being monitored. HFD will return to reassess.
