HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Amber Heard donated the $7-million-dollar divorce settlement she got from ex-hubby Johnny Depp to charity.  The actress gave the money to 2 charities: the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union.  The A-C-L-U will use its portion for efforts to stop violence.   Heard had accused Depp of domestic abuse and got a restraining order against the actor in May.

Today, former President Bill Clinton turns 70.  No words on any plans on how he and the Democratic Nominee for President...also his wife...are celebrating the milestone.  But it seems like they won't be celebrating with Donald Trump.  The republican nominee will be visiting the flood ravaged parts of Louisiana today with his running mate, Mike Pence.

"Galloping Seahorses" is the first single from Jake's upcoming album, the single is already up and for sale on iTunes.  "Nashville Sessions" the entire release will be out on September 23rd, 2016.  We've also seen that a bunch of his concert dates in Japan are already selling out

Henry Kapono posted this Throwback Thursday picture on his page yesterday.  Henry said, "At the Maui County fair circa 1989, Mahalo to Christine Miller for the photo."  That's Henry Kapono with past music partner Cecilio Rodrigues!

The artist behind nude Donald Trump statues popping up in cities across the county is speaking out about his controversial creations.  Las Vegas based artist Joshua "Ginger" Monroe says the anarchist group "indecline" hired him to sculpt the life size trumps.  Monroe says this wasn't *his political statement, but he knows they're controversial.

You remember the ice bucket challenge? It's still going strong! The long-time volunteer for the A-L-S Association is traveling to all 50 states  - in August - to take on a state-specific bucket challenge... to raise money and awareness for the A-L-S cause.
