HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii's 2016 Walk in the Country is right around the corner. On August 20, Honolulu's finest will gather for a delightful evening beneath the stars as BGCH celebrates 40 years of changing children's lives in the state of Hawaii. Held at Lanikuhonua at Ko Olina, the 20th annual Walk in the Country will offer cocktail and pupus at sunset, a marketplace, a silent auction, and a moonlight dinner accompanied by performances from some the Club's most talented kids.
Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii's (BGCH) mission is to help youth overcome challenges across the state through its safe, structured and positive environment for young people after school, during holiday and on summer vacation. Each year, BGCH holds its annual fundraiser gala, Walk in the Country. The funds raised at this fundraiser each year go to support Club programs such as tutoring, physical recreation and extracurricular activities. BGCH has raised roughly $6,364,005 through this event.
